More extensive writing of the secret of La Sallete, made by the seer Mélanie Calvat on November 21, 1878, considered definitive by the seer.

The Blessed Virgin said to Melanie:

“Mélanie, what I am going to tell you now will not always be a secret, you will be able to publish it in 1858."

“The priests, ministers of My Son, because of their bad life, their irreverence and impiety in the celebration of the holy mysteries, for the love of money, honors and pleasures, have become sewers of impurity. "

“Woe to the inhabitants of the Earth! There will be bloody wars and famine, plague and contagious disease. There will be rains made by terrifying volleys of animals, thunderstorms that will shake cities, earthquakes that will engulf countries. Voices will be heard in the air. The men will bang their heads against the walls. They will ask for death, and on the other hand death will be their torture. Blood will run everywhere."

“Who can resist, if God does not shorten the time of trial? God will be bowed down by the blood, tears, and prayers of the righteous. Enoch and Elijah will be killed. Pagan Rome will disappear. Fire from heaven will fall and consume three cities."

“The whole universe will be seized with terror, and many will allow themselves to be seduced, because they did not adore the true Christ living among them. The time has come, the sun is darkened, only faith will live."
